During Snow Events please note the below map which details our Winter Maintenance Service from Heritage Green detailing the planned clearing of driveways once the main arteries and streets have been cleared and open.
Hand work will follow this same pattern, with the clearing of walkways and porches. Respectfully submitted. Shared Services Committee With winter now upon us, and a change to Heritage Green for our snow removal company this year, there is an important change that all residents should be aware of. Starting this year, the snow removal company will no longer provide a bag of salt to each resident. This was previously done by Bosma only. With the new contractor, this will not be happening as part of efforts to minimize costs. It is vital that residents remember, it is the resident’s responsibility to keep their walkway, porch and driveway free of ice by using salt (if necessary).
Residents are asked not to interrupt or speak with the Heritage Green employees, allowing them to focus and complete their job and not create unnecessary delays. Do not approach them to seek favours or to try to direct what they should or should not do. Also, do not contact the Heritage Green Office. At all times Residents must be mindful that in no way shall they become disrespectful, harassing, and or condescending to the workers. The Ontario Occupational Health & Safety Act provides provisions for the protection of workers against acts of workplace harassment and violence. The Act defines Harassment & Violence and the Corporations’ responsibility to all persons, including Residents, Visitors, & Employees of Contractors. Residents are reminded not to move your vehicle to a visitor’s parking spot during snow clearing as this area may be required for snow piling. Putting marking sticks across your lawn does not exempt you from getting snow piled on the lawn. Any such sticks should be removed forthwith. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the snow removal, residents should contact the office staff of Wilson Blanchard (905-679-4999). |
